Kia ora, my name is Tania and I am the Centre Manager for Junior Junction Hamilton. I have a Bachelor of Teaching from The University of Waikato and have over fifteen years of teaching experience – all at Junior Junction! Ma te kotahitanga e whai kaha ai tātau – in unity we have strength. This forms the basis of my philosophy of teaching as I believe in a unified approach to education and care. Centre staff work collaboratively with whānau so the learning environment can act as an extension of the home. When continuity of care is established, a strong sense of belonging develops that encourages akonga to explore the world around them and grow as lifelong learners. It is so rewarding to be part of the wonderfully unique moments that occur each and every day. It is these moments where learning flourishes and memories are made.
