Day To Day

Learning-Based Day Care Your Child Will Love!

Junior Junction child care aims to provide an environment where children (from 3 months to 5 years old) can develop as independent thinkers and learners on a day to day basis. We provide a play based program where children are free to explore, socialize, communicate and investigate. Each daycare centre strives to create a learning rich environment which reflects the individual interests of every child in our care.

Our passionate, qualified, and experienced teachers enhance and extend your child’s learning through careful planning and review. We prepare children for future educational and social challenges, giving them a solid foundation to build upon.

You only need to look around our centres to see how each child brings their own individual interests and culture to their learning.

Highly Qualified Daycare Teachers to Assist Early Child Development

We operate with a minimum of 80% qualified staff, supported by an internal mentor to maintain their registration with the NZ Teachers Council.

At all our centers, we exceed recommended staff-to-child ratios and commit to ongoing staff training. Our qualified teachers hold degrees or diplomas in Early Childhood Education, and most are trained in CPR and First Aid. We plan programs around each child’s development and document their progress in individual portfolios with photos, observations, and reflections. Parents can easily access their child’s information through our online Playground portal.

Healthy Hearts and Minds

When you enter our doors, you will smell fresh meals and baking prepared daily by our full-time in-house chefs. The menu is created from locally sourced natural ingredients to promote balanced dietary needs that encourage healthy hearts and minds.

Children receive fresh fruit, vegetables and homemade baking for morning and afternoon tea times, and a delicious cooked lunch. Our nutritious meals are sources from locally To accommodate special dietary needs, we offer vegetarian options, cater to food allergies (all centres are nut-free), and work closely with families to ensure cultural preferences are considered.

We are happy to discuss your child’s particular food needs. It may be advisable to provide food from home if your child has food-related reactions. Due to the prevalence of numerous food allergies, we cannot completely control the chance of cross-contamination. Our staff work expertly to mitigate this and are well trained in first aid and responding to anaphylaxis as in accordance with ECE guidelines. Our priority is keeping our children well fed, happy and healthy.

If your child is on breast milk or formula, this needs to be provided with instructions.
